Southern Water provides water and wastewater services to millions of customers across the South East of England.
We offer a wide variety of roles, ranging from engineers and accountants to customer service advisors and sewerage operatives.
We are always looking for talented individuals to join our organisation and now, due to expansion, we are able to offer even more new exciting roles specifically within our Capital Delivery, Customer Services and Revenue, Operations, Private Sewers and Commercial teams.
Capital Delivery
We are constantly updating and improving our water and wastewater network to provide an excellent service to our customers. We invest millions of pounds every year in new schemes which help the environment, prevent leakage and keep the drinking water we supply among the best in Europe.
Customer Services and Revenue
Our busy Customer Advisors handled nearly two million telephone calls last year. The work is varied, from building essential business relationships with customers and helping to set up new accounts, to resolving billing enquiries and dealing with emergencies.
Operations
With thousands of miles of water mains and sewer pipes to look after, as well as hundreds of water and wastewater treatment works, a top quality maintenance and repair strategy is vital. Leadership and creativity are just two of the skills we are looking for as we build an industry-leading team.
Private Sewers Transfer
On October 1, we assumed responsibility for an extra 19,000 kilometres of sewers when new government legislation came into effect. We have built a team to keep customers informed about what the changes mean which enables us to deal quickly and effectively with engineering and maintenance requirements. Asset Management
In building a new Asset Management function we will design new ways of working that incorporate industry-leading best practice and we will introduce cutting-edge asset management systems and tools.
